Krzyżowa, Poland 2011

The view of the workshops and Palace...

During the artistic summer in Krzyżowa that lasted from 17 to 29 of July, the tasks that the participants had to realize where: vessels, musical instruments, the Jewish candlestick and the last – different adornments. To tell the truth, the participants had to make all objects in extremely short term – approximately in one week. At first sight, it seemed impossible.

The matter is that technology of ceramic making, especially obtaining different musical effects, requires enough time for modelling and drying. Only after that the first firing in a high temperature is possible.Than the items are glazed. The final stage of making ceramic is a second firing.

All participants that came from different countries (Poland,  Russia, Ukraine, Byelorussia) demonstrated a high level of building ceramic piezes and individual creative skills as well.

The results of the project were surprising!
